• Compressed or encoded files: If contents of file start with "begin": right-click on file name and select "decode"; if file name ends with ".zip": use WinZip to extract files

• Scanner: There is a full-page scanner in the computer lab (214 Perkins) for images and text. Log into the network from the computer (# 19) to the left of the scanner, double-click Imaging for pictures or OmniPagePro for text.
