The Graduate Certificate in Political Economy is a collaborative effort between the Economics Department and the Political Science Department. Students from either program can select five courses from a set of offerings chosen by the faculty to represent an introduction to this important interdisciplinary field. Students will take both “core” courses and choose a “field of specialization,” based on their interests and the interests of the faculty. Students will then take an examination in Political Economy as a “theme” field; completion of these requirements will result in the formal awarding of the Political Economy Certificate.
